Russian Things :D

My Matryoshki! I'm not sure if they quite rival your collection, Mrs. Laber, but I love 'em anyway. Russia, Estonia, and Finland for the 2014 trip maybe? Fingers crossed. Can't wait to see the pictures for the Central Europe trip this year, I'll post pics from Ansel's history day and Oklahoma!

This picture presents a whirlwind of nostalgia for me! It's as if I'm back at the little kiosks on the streets and flea markets, where the smell of freshly painted Matryoshka dolls lingers in the air - I love it! As for the babushka candy (as I like to call it) in the middle of your framed wrappers.... while in St. Petersburg I purchased some things from a small grocery store. The clerk didn't have the correct combination of coins that would amount to my due change.... so she gave me a handful of those little candies and we called it even! Perfect, huh?

    1. I LOVE the smell of the different wood that they carve them with!! Its so unique. And as for the candies... I think I almost like the wrappers better then the candy itself. :D
